So you are preparing for your 2024 European summer and are wondering, do I need in ETIAS Travel Authorization? The answer is no, not yet. The ETIAS Travel Authorization is a new travel requirement needed to visit countries in the European Union. This will now be required mid-2025 for over 60 travel visa exempt countries in the world. To be clear the ETIAS Travel Authorization is NOT is visa. Visas typically take 30-90 days for processing and require a lot more documentation whereas the ETIAS will only take a few minutes minimum and up to 4 days maximum if there are any issues with your application. If you are a UK citizen, yes you will need an ETIAS.
Here are a list of countries that will require an ETIAS.

The ETIAS Travel Authorization is valid for three years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first and grants you permission for short term stay up to 90 days in any 180 day period. It is important to note that even with an ETIAS, any country on the list above could still deny you entry at the border if you do not meet their entry requirements. Make sure you double check the entry requirements for the specific country or countries you are visiting. If your country is on the list of countries that do not need an ETIAS, that means you must acquire a visa.
